We believe in a future where robots are standard construction tools that are critical for constructing buildings efficiently. In this future, robots are CAD powered tools that enable the workforce to be more productive and eliminate errors that commonly cause wasteful demolition and rework.
Our first product is a mobile printer-on-wheels that prints blueprints full-size on the floor of a construction site. The product delivers better accuracy and speed than any of the solutions in use today and eliminates errors that are common in the manual process currently in use.
Having just closed our Series A funding and headed into our next growth curve, we’re looking for a strong mechanical engineer to both design our next generation product and bring in the experience needed to make our product reliable and easy to build. You will work on all aspects of robot design from the main drive mechanism, motion stages and print mechanism to the skin and packaging. Our ideal candidate has experience bringing electro-mechanical products with similar features to market. This includes hands-on experience with the different stages of mechanical design, from prototyping though design validation, design for manufacturing, and reliability.

Push the limits of hardware design for our next generation of robots
Work on the mechanical design of a precision autonomous robot having multiple electro-mechanical systems.

Be part of a growing, successful startup with strong customer pull for our product
5+ years experience developing electro-mechanical systems from design through production.
Experience with manufacturing processes including precision machining, sheet metal manufacturing, 3D printing, injection molding, and thermoforming.
Experience designing for manufacturing, assembly, and designing for reliability in harsh environments.
Understanding of GD&T principles and design for tolerance stack-ups for critical alignments.
Experience with static and dynamic structural design and analysis for structures is a plus.
Experience with printing technologies or optics is a plus.
Competency in core engineering skills in math, physics, and mechanics.
BS in mechanical engineering or related field.
