What You’ll Do
We are looking for an Electronics Design Engineer to assist us in developing electronic modules for our next generation robot solution. You will work in multidisciplinary teams to collaborate on the different modules for our robots so that we may continue to strengthen the output of our electronic development. Ideally, you are a senior engineer with industrial experience in designing and developing electronics hardware.
You will be working on electronic sub-system designs, integrations, cable harnesses, PCB layouts
Contribute hands-on in the lab, building and debugging electronic systems, ranging from small test systems to fully integrated robots in the field
Design, build and troubleshoot compact and reliable electronic systems
Collaborate on electronic design for robotics platforms
Design and diagnostic revisions of complex mobile robots and manipulation systems
Working with power distribution, battery implementation, and motor systems
5+ years of experience in designing industrial electrical systems
Proven good skills using industry-standard EDA design tools (e.g. Altium Designer, electronics simulators)
Full-spectrum PDLC (Product Development Life Cycle) experience
Electronic component selection and validation
Ability to collaborate and communicate well with other disciplines and teams, such as our controls, production, and mechanical teams
Power electronics experience (e.g., motor drivers, LED drivers, power supplies, DC loads <100A <100V)
Industrial experience in robotics, automotive, or related domains
Experience with sensor selection and integration (proximity, LIDAR, cameras, etc.)
Knowledge of communications architectures including Ethernet, EtherCAT, BiSS, RS485/422, LVDS, SPI
Experience with DFM
Industrial safety system design, FMEA Standards, and/or certification authority experience (UL, CSA, CE, FCC, ESA and NEC)
