What You’ll Do

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our team in building the next-generation, humanoid robot platform. Working closely with our R&D, hardware, and software engineering teams, you will be responsible for leading and managing the product teams (such as hardware design, motor development, and controls) to promote collaboration, identify and resolve blockers, and ensure project successes.

Ideally, you are a self-motivated individual who thrives in a dynamic, constantly changing environment, and are passionate about building phenomenal products as well as learning new technologies. You should have in-depth experience within hardware and software systems, proven leadership capabilities, great interpersonal skills, and a desire to work with an amazing team to help guide development.

Responsibilities:

Lead the next-generation robot platform through the development lifecycle from concept to delivery
Inspire team through great leadership skills, and understand capabilities and priorities while fostering a collaborative environment
Partnering with management to facilitate all aspects of projects: define, schedule, prioritize, track, proactively manage, and communicate the status of projects

Requirements:

BS/MS in Engineering or relevant industry experience
7+ years of relevant industry experience in robotics, automotive, or similar
3+ years of management experience
Prior experience and consistent track record leading and shipping complex projects
Solid knowledge of HW/SW development practices
Experience driving and delivering critical project features which involve integration with multiple teams

Added Bonuses:

University degree in Mechatronic Engineering, Engineering Systems and Computing, Robot Technology, Electrical Engineering, Controls, or related industry experience
Industrial or research experience in robotics, especially with DLR, NASA, JPL, IHMC, or TRI Experience with motors, motor drivers, controls, and embedded systems
Programming knowledge of both high-level and low-level languages (e.g., Python, C/C++, Java, C#)
Experience with VR and AR applications
