What You’ll Do

We are looking for a senior SLAM developer to lay the groundwork for our next-generation distributed sensing platform, with a focus on communication between onboard, edge nodes, and back-end cloud with minimal latency. You will work closely with the engineering and project teams to ensure safety and stability and create reliable solutions that support our product vision. An ideal candidate has experience in robotics, autonomous vehicles, drones, or related systems.


Own the complete lifecycle of the solutions you create, including developing, testing, documentation, and supporting as we scale.
Exploring and evaluating the latest visual SLAM algorithms and systems.
Document procedures and techniques to help us scale and onboard new developers.


5+ years of relevant experience.
Experience designing and implementing high-performance visual SLAM systems.
Experience optimizing SLAM system performance.
Strong C/C++ skills and GPU development experience.
Good architecture and software fundamentals, including software design and maintainability.
Experience with large-scale bundle adjustment and back-end optimization (e.g., G2O, Ceres).
Experience with large-scale visual recognition, relocalization, and mapping.
Experience with system identification and calibration.
Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to roll up the sleeves to get the job done.
Ability to collaborate and communicate complex technical concepts to a wide audience.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

Solid background in one or more visual SLAM related domains:

Monocular, stereo, RGBD SLAM.
Sparse, semi-dense, dense, indirect, direct SLAM.
Semantic SLAM.
Visual-inertial odometry (VIO).
Filtering-based state estimation (e.g., EKF, particle filter).

Added Bonuses:

University degree in computer science, software engineering, or relevant field of study.
Graduate degree and research experience in SLAM-related applications.
Solid understanding of modern machine learning pipelines and back-end architectures for large-scale data collection and processing.
Strong preference for candidates that have been part of deploying systems in the real world (cars/delivery/drones/mobile or similar).
Industrial or research experience in robotics, especially with NASA, JPL, IHMC, or TRI.
Experience with ROS2 or Unity/C#.
Experience with VR and AR applications.
