Website HalodiRobotics Halodi Robotics

Our mission is to bring capable humanoid robots to everyone.

Halodi Robotics is bringing robots out of factories and into the human world. We have cracked the code and engineered a safe, capable, and affordable solution (named EVE) that will be deployed in the immediate future to security, retail, and the food-packaging markets.

Inspired by innovation and serving the greater good, Halodi Robotics intends to produce thousands of humanoid robots by 2023—and that’s just the beginning. With the mission to bring humanoid robots to everyone, Halodi Robotics offers one of the most futuristic, world-changing career opportunities of our time. And with a team that enjoys being social outside of work, collaboration and support of Halodians extends well beyond the 9 to 5.

This is the place where people come to live and work to their full potential. Halodians are passionate about seeing the human-robot world come to fruition and embrace our holistic approach to building robots—all components of our robots are developed in-house including: motors, transmissions, sensors, electronics, controls, and AI. There are not many places where you can touch every aspect of such an advanced technology, but with Halodi Robotics’ modern approach, nothing is off-limits

As we scale our team, we want to hire the best people no matter where they’re located. However, it would be advantageous for teammates to be open to the idea of potentially relocating to an existing Halodi Robotics location, such as Montreal, Canada, or Oslo, Norway, so they can have direct access to our hardware and physical infrastructure.

What You’ll Get By Joining Our Team

You can shape the future of humanoid robots.
You will have the autonomy to improve all aspects of your technical skills.
You’ll join an agile and diverse, global team.

What You’ll Do

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer, Simulation and Testing to play a key role in our software development and testing pipeline by producing high-quality robots for our customers. Working closely with our R&D and software development teams, you will be responsible for building a physics-based simulation and testing pipeline for our controls, manipulation, and navigation software. An ideal candidate will have experience in building and working with physics-based 3D simulation environments, CI/CD pipelines, and who can own the simulation infrastructure.

Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to build simulation environments that achieve physics and visual fidelity
Validate robot motion and reachability
Simulate vision and tactile data to be used for conceptualization as well as algorithm development
Develop API for machine learning tasks in simulation for offline and distributed training
Build custom simulation tools or link together disparate simulation environments
Integrate simulation infrastructure into our CI/CD pipelines

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), preferably in computer science, electrical engineering, robotics, or similar (graduate degree is a plus)
5+ years of industry experience
Experience working with Python, C++, and ROS
Experience working with 3D simulation or rendering environments (e.g., PyBullet, Gazebo, Unity, Blender, Mujoco)
Experience with industrial robot kinematics in simulation environments

Added Bonuses:

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and testing infrastructure
Experience with simulation environments for reinforcement learning (e.g., OpenAI Gym, Deepmind Lab)
Industrial or research experience in robotics, especially with NASA, JPL, IHMC, or TRI
Experience with VR/XR applications

“With these collaborative robots–these more holistic robotics if you will–you’re trying to create a new world. You’re trying to create a human-robot world; one where interactions become the primary driver of the application.”- Nicholas, Project Director
