The Role:
RIOS is looking for a Network Engineer / Network Administrator / SysAdmin / IT Systems Administrator who can take on the management and development of RIOS’s hybrid-cloud backend infrastructure. This includes both in Cloud and bare-metal. The candidate would join a team that owns the system reliability and distributed machine learning for an increasingly large footprint of robotic systems deployed throughout North America.

Examples of ongoing efforts that candidates would contribute to include:
Management of RIOS zero trust networking virtual private cloud that spans on-premises to multi-cloud (AWS, S3, VPN, cloud LDAP, Vault, Terraform, private DNS, IP address allocation management, etc.)
Contribute to the building out and maintenance of RIOS’s distributed learning pipeline (AWS, baremetal, kubernetes, S3, python, Docker, Terraform, etc.)
Sandboxing and controlled rollout of system updates across a fleet of robotic systems (Ansible, Kubernetes, AWS)

Technical attributes of candidates may include some of the following:
B.S. with 3+ years industry experience in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent)

An understanding of networking protocols and debugging networking issues

SSL/VPN/cryptographic systems management experience

Experience with container orchestration using modern configuration management tools (e.g. Kubernetes, Nomad, Ansible, Docker Swarm)

Experience building, releasing and maintaining infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using modern configuration/scripting tools (e.g. Terraform, Puppet, Chef)

Familiarly with formal release process and versioning, CI/CD

Expertise in Python, bash, linux systems, networking, object stores (e.g., S3)

Attention to details such as documentation, version control and reproducibility

Scrum/agile experience and/or training

Nice to Have:
Expertise with databases such as SQL, NoSQL, and cloud solutions

Familiarity with deployment of machine learning models
