Accelerating World’s Transition to Sustainable Energy
Develop custom motor, sensor, and power distribution circuit boards
Start to finish ownership of boards: specification, architecture, circuit design, simulation, schematic, layout supervision, prototype, validation, and manufacturing support
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team of mechanical, electrical, and software engineers
Question the norm by coming up with creative ideas to make better robot hardware
Thoroughly document design requirements, calculations, power budgets, validation results
Rapidly iterate as architecture evolves
2+ years of circuit board design experience
Competent in PCB CAD software (Altium preferred)
Strong understanding of analog & digital circuits (motor control, MOSFETs, op-amps, switching regulators, gate drivers, microcontrollers, SPI, I2C, etc.)
Can provide real-life examples of electronics design projects
Exceptional organization and communication skills (both written and verbal)
Ability to tackle problems and reason using a first principles approach
Proficiency with lab equipment and troubleshooting
Programming ability (Python, embedded C/C++)
Experience developing electronic systems for robots
Communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, EtherCAT)
