We’re looking forward to organizing the Robot Block Party again in 2014 – our 5th year of holding one of the best robotics events in the USA. But there’s always room for more robots! Here’s the call for participants:
Welcome to National Robotics Week 2014!!! Our fifth annual week isApril 5-13, 2014. We are excited to invite you to start thinking about your 2014 event, and getting it posted to our website. We’re up and running at www.nationalroboticsweek.org and already have 11 states involved! That only leaves 39 to go!
We’re hoping you’ll come back and join us again. Last year, we had over 200 events, and because of you, reached over a quarter million people attending those events. When we think about robotics, and the exponential growth we have seen in the industry, it’s not unlikely this year will surpass those numbers.
Events can be anything you think of that will engage people in robotics. We’ve had FIRST Lego teams take their robot to libraries to do a demo, tours of university labs, large Robot Block parties showing off robotics in the area, robotics teams wearing their t shirts to school to attract attention to their projects, and a host of robotics competitions. Please join us again. And, since we know not everyone can fit everything into one week- we do post events for all of April.
You can post your event at www.nationalrobotics.week.org/events.php
Once we receive it, we will get it posted live on the site- and you up on our map- as fast as we can. Remember, our goal is always to have something in all 50 states, so we need your help!
Many thanks and feel free to email info@nationalroboticsweek.org with any questions.
