SRI International

SRI International is an independent, nonprofit research institute conducting client-sponsored research and development for government agencies, commercial businesses, foundations, and other organizations. We bring our innovations to the marketplace through licenses and new ventures. SRI’s 2011 revenues were approximately $585 million.

Mission

Since our founding in 1946 by Stanford University, SRI has been committed to discovery and to the application of science and technology for knowledge, commerce, prosperity, and peace. SRI became independent of the university in 1970, and we changed our name to SRI International in 1977.

Leadership

With representatives from the nonprofit and commercial sectors, a prestigious and active Board of Directors governs SRI. Ourexecutive team creates and leads programs to solve clients’ increasingly complex challenges. The team has a broad base of knowledge in science, engineering, and technology innovation, coupled with expertise in policy, growth, and business strategy.
